RECONNECTED · KIN EDITION

Ages 6–10 · 3 Days / 2 Nights

─ BACK TO WHAT MATTERS ─

A first wilderness experience for parents and young children. Campfire cooking, mountain hiking, wild camping and time away from the noise — built for wonder, not challenge.

Between the ages of six and ten, children see the world differently. Mountains feel enormous. Fire is magic. Sleeping under the stars is the greatest thing that has ever happened.

Little Kin is designed to meet them there — with the right level of challenge, the right pace, and the right amount of comfort to make it an adventure rather than an ordeal.

"This is:

  • Not a survival course

  • Not a military-style challenge

  • Not a school trip

  • Not performance-driven

It is a shared first experience. Simple, grounded, and built to become a memory that lasts.

Three days in the mountains of Snowdonia. A gentle first wilderness experience — campfire evenings, a morning of skills, a mountain afternoon, and a wild camp at the heart of it all.

DAY ONE

Arrival & Base Camp

Friday - Travel & Base Camp

Midday: Depart London. Pick up participants at agreed train stations or motorway stops en route.

Afternoon: Arrive Snowdonia. Straight to base campsite — full facilities (toilets, showers).

Late Afternoon: Set up tents together. Light, hands-on introduction to campfire safety and basic camp craft. Brief and fun — not a lesson.

Evening: Cook on the fire together. Kids roam and play freely. Relaxed evening around the fire.

Night: First night under canvas. Early to bed — big day tomorrow.

Tonight is about settling in, not achieving anything. The mountain comes tomorrow.

DAY TWO

Skills & The Wild Camp

Saturday — Skills Morning, Mountain Afternoon

Morning: Cooked breakfast at base camp. Pack personal kit. Group kit loaded into vehicles.

Mid AM: Skills session at or near the campsite — NOT on the mountain. Map reading, compass basics and simple orienteering run as a game: teams, checkpoints, small wins. 60–90 minutes maximum. Active and fun for adults and kids alike.

Late AM: Pack up fully. Drive to mountain trailhead. Lunch before setting off or early into the walk.

Early PM: Begin mountain walk. 3–4 hours total walking time with regular breaks, snacks and games en route. The pace is gentle. The goal is arriving at the wild camp with energy still in the tank.

Afternoon: Reach wild camp spot. Pitch tents together. Kids explore and play while adults sort camp. Plenty of daylight remaining.

Evening: Cook dinner on camp stoves and relax around the wildcamp.

A big day and great experience on the mountain.

DAY THREE

Back Down

Sunday — Walk Out & Home

Morning: Mountain breakfast. Pack up camp together. London. Pick up participants at agreed train stations or motorway stops en route.

Mid AM: 2–3 hour descent. Relaxed pace — let the kids lead where they can. Final mountain moments.

Late AM: Back to vehicles well before midday. Everyone dry, fed and in good spirits.

Early PM: Return to London or drop at train stations. Home for early afternoon.

Home before the afternoon — tired, grounded, and carrying something they will not forget.
